It's all about the music

The Kitchen came together through a chance meeting at a party in the summer of 2003. While reminiscing about former musical ventures, Cockleshell Heroes guitarist Phillip Main and Hut Museum Vocalist Curtis Lefebour had the like minded vision of forming a cover band that would give them the opportunity to play the music that inspired them in their early days. With the addition of former Heimlich Maneuver and Tristan Psionic bassist Peter Kirkpatrick, the Kitchen began to play small parties and clubs to test their legs.

In the fall of 2005 the Kitchen rounded out their sound with the talents of pianist Mike Stevenson.

While the band frequently plays small clubs and parties for their own enjoyment, and to ring out new arrangements, the focus is strictly on larger corporate events. The true passion for the music they play translates into an energy level that is seldom seen in the corporate arena. True professionals through and through, the Kitchen always pleases.
